Writing Critique Sessions
Central Colorado Writers critique sessions are volunteer-run Zoom meetings held twice a month, open to our members, wherever they are. Authors share works in progress, offer thoughtful feedback, and help each other grow. Whether you’re polishing a draft or looking for fresh perspective, our sessions offer a supportive place to learn, improve, and keep writing.

Session Mechanics
ScheduleÂ
We meet via Zoom twice per month on the first and third Wednesday evenings (6:00 pm MT to about 8:00 pm MT).
Zoom links for each session are posted in our members-only calendar, so you'll always know where to find us.
Process
By 10:00 am MT on the Sunday before our Wednesday meeting, authors upload a 3000 word (or less) submission.
Midday on Sunday, we send everyone their assignments. Each person will critique about 3 submissions and upload written comments before our Wednesday meeting.
At the meeting, submitters receive oral critiques from those who reviewed their work.

If you’re interested in joining our critique group, we ask that you first sit in on a session to see if it feels like a good fit.

The critique group's meticulous feedback allowed me to deliver the most polished memoir possible, which ultimately won a Colorado Authors League annual prize.
Susan Bavaria

I am very grateful for the critiques I’ve received from CCW members -big picture as well as line-by-line feedback and support. My ability to write in my new chosen genre is much improved, thanks to this group.
