30th Anniversary Pearl Party Â
May 17, 2025
Marking three decades of storytelling, creativity, and literary camaraderie, CCW gathered in Buena Vista, CO in May 2025 to celebrate in style! (Pearls being the traditional gift of a 30th anniversary.)
Guests were adorned in "pearl" necklaces and celebrated the rich history of writers, stories, and community that have shaped CCW over the past 30 years.
Gathering the Words
Current, past, and even founding members of CCW answered the call to contribute, submitting short stories, essays, and poems that span three decades of creativity. The result was a collection as rich and varied as the community that wrote it.
Crafting the Invitations
Designed by a CCW Member, Pearl Party invitation "tickets" were sent out via snail mail to add an extra special touch for this landmark occasion.
Setting Up the Venue
From the live music that filled the room to the festive table décor and complimentary refreshments, every detail of the Pearl Party was crafted to celebrate in style. It was a morning as warm and welcoming as the community that has kept CCW thriving for three decades.
Celebrating 30 Years
The Pearl Party was a true celebration of everything CCW has built over 30 years!
Current and past CCW Presidents honored the club's journey, passages from the
Valley Voices: Pearls Anthology brought the writing to life, and members gathered around to sign their short stories, essays, and poems for one another.
Adding to the festivities were a lively raffle, photo booth, live music, refreshments, and plenty of laughter and good cheer alongside fellow authors.
