PURPOSE

 

Stretching our writing experience! The most popular activities for the CC Writers are our high-quality, affordable workshops. These half- or full-day sessions are open to members and non-members alike, although attendance may be limited.

 

During these workshops, writers will share in the experience of short, fun, insightful writing exercises, discussion and review, reading workshop writing to one another (optional), inspiration from many directions, and lots of encouragement.

CCW Members always receive advance notice and a discount on workshops. Members may also be eligible for scholarships.

 

WHEN and WHERE

CCW-sponsored workshops generally occur quarterly, usually on a Saturday. During the pandemic we were on Zoom. If we are able to hold in-person workshops locations are varied. We alternate in central Colorado between Salida, Buena Vista, and Leadville, using other locations on special occasions. Get free email alerts! by subscribing on the Home Page of this website. WHAT TO BRING

​

Paper and pencil or laptop while we are meeting on Zoom. In classroom workshops we invite attendees to bring snacks for morning break. CCW furnishes the drinks.

FEES: Fees range from  $20-$30 for CCW Members, $40-$65 for Non-Members depending on our guest host, the duration of the event, and whether or not the event is virtual. 

REGISTRATION

 

Seating can be limited and we ask that attendees RSVP for the workshop.

Claryce Burt Scholarship Fund
The scholarship fund may be available for CCW members to receive reimbursement if your membership was in good-standing and you feel that you have a financial need.
